I won't lie, I am a HUGE fan of Roberto Benigni's Johnny Stecchino. No one seems to like this movie at all. Everytime I've watched it I've laughed out loud and just felt all warm and sun shiney inside.
Recently I found the tape I have of it ('cos it's not on DVD) and watched it and again, it all came back, the laughing out loud, the sparkles, everything. I really enjoy this movie! I want to praise it and encourage all to watch it but no one seems to like it at all outside of me, so I'm going to cautiously encourage others to watch it.
If you enjoy very harmless romantic comedies from Italy with a famous Italian actor/director going nuts in a double role with some very innocent yet makes me laugh out loud comedy, then please if you find a VHS copy of this film, watch it.
It use to get play on IFC, so maybe watch for it there. If you don't like it, don't be surprised, so far I'm the only one I know who enjoys it. But yeah.. I Love This Movie No One Else Does.
