Review of Johnny Mnemonic (1995) by June T — 18 Jan 2008

Not exactly the best film ever made -- in fact, it gets my "worst budget usage ever" seal of approval. Based upon a short story of the same name by William Gibson, this movie was one of the first forays into cyberpunk I had ever seen on screen before seeing other films such as Blade Runner.

Awkward and funny in the wrong moments (including the heavy overuse of canned sound effects), the movie comes with quite a few silly quotes and diatribes -- most of which are rather memorable and quite funny if used out of context.
