Saw it on first release in Austin at the Texas Theater, with my best friend. We had both participated in the 1969 draft lottery - my number was 315 and my friend's was 6. We sat through it twice straight through without a word.
Any you young punks who think that anti-war stuff is boring, ask your friends coming back today with no legs or their family picking them up in a bag, then see this one again. Screw Metallica.
