Review of Johnny Got His Gun (2008) by Tim S — 05 Jan 2010
The movie has the potential to be engaging and thought-provoking, and it most definitely horrifies you to know about the protagonist's plight and ultimate damnation by the end of the film, the movie is just all around poorly acted, poorly shot, and poorly paced to make it worth watching.
It focuses so heavily on the mundane tedious details, most likely to bump up what could easily be a 15 minute short film to feature length status by forcing the audience to watch every single slow paced experience of the character's life in real time.
