Release Date: October 21, 2011.
Pre-review: old enough to already be a bit floppy ..only that he drives a Mclaren in real life. (He just got knocked off the top of the celeb race board on top gear last night by Matt LeBlanc lol) the geriatric chase scene in this must have caught up to his reputation with it`s karma..
Review: ll in all he pulled off a spoof big budget action comedy with this as it did lack luster in places for it`s calibre. but on the other hand I was like woe Johnny go, went, and actually got em at times I thought of expecting like detective clouseau from pink panther but it wasn`t like that ..gladly and is quite hard to picture but this guy John Cleese, Peter Sellers, Steve Martin and now Steve Carell are the like who can but it`s not exactly classic slapstick going back to theatre or silent films (a much loved and highly popular performance genre) in more cases in one feature than i`ve seen he`s bitterly stupid but actually get`s things done. anyhow enough abt this as I dont remember if there was much change from the first one but overall a complete film on it`s own too, too much follow on wouldn`t sat well with me. The other goofs were not bad and the odd serious face cut it. The gadgets ranged from ridiculous and utterly ridiculous to interesting and some showing sophistication or merrit but there ever hammie as well intended i`m sure.
Synopsis: The Johnny English is reqired out of pilgram safety by Mi7 to stand in for security mission of highest priority. He is over the moon to reclaim/assert his confidence in that he is a number one spy, but things have changed a little and it seems "he`s not exactly from around here" at the headquarters these days and everyone has to watch there back.
Top notch quality production and a fine lead performance if this style is uppin your anti. A little lacking on the plot 3/4 mark slowed rehashed (i nodded) but in a high demand budget/market expectancy so unwaivered by peers I give the thumbs up.
