Review of Johnny Be Good (1988) by Chandler V — 03 Nov 2008
Semi dark comedy that teaches morality without being too preachy. This is really the only film I have seen that satirizes the whole college football recruiting process. Even the fictional schools thinly veiled team names are ultimately obvious: Texas (Ol Texas), USC (UCC), and your average Joe State school all are touched on here.
Highly relevant, even today.
