Bloated with boring storytelling that **** on the previous movies' "worldbuilding." There was at least 2 people snoring at my theater throughout the whole movie lol, it was pretty bad. Last 30 minutes were ok, but it was still hard to sit through because John is such an uncompelling character.
No suspense or tension because, again, John is such a boring, 1 dimensional character with little to no development over the course of 4 movies. I'd take a generic 80s good guy action hero over this **** These movies are not for me, because even the action felt bland af.
Very repetitive and uncreative, save for Donnie Yen's scenes. Camerawork was clean, but just amplified the imperfections in the choreography even more. If you liked the previous movies, you'll like this one, its more of the same.
