Review of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019) by Afm185 — 21 Jun 2020
Ok. That is a solid, solid trilogy right there. I think all three are as good as the others but I may be remembering that a bit wrong. The action in here is really good to great, and I appreciate that every single one is a little different, but the best scene imo comes a bit early? And it’s greeeeeaat.
I’ll be honest the gunfights are really cool, and the hand fights are really well choreographed, but fights with swords and knives and just miscellaneous **** is what these movies do best, and it’s what’s used the least.
A little disappointing to think about, but overusing it may become a detriment. I think a few of the fight scenes, and fights against specific characters, can be a bit prolonged though. Weird how these movies are some of the only ones I feel a bit bored by the action in it sometimes.
I don’t really care about the characters in these movies, but I like seeing them all. The relationships are just weak. You feel like everyone cares about the rules and nothing else. No one matters to anyone, except some people are “fans” of John.
John Wick just isn’t a great character, but you gotta love Keanu. He’s not a great or even good actor, but it’s Keanu man. The story in this movie is also decent actually. How everything plays out is always engaging, and seeing more and more of their assassin criminal underworld thing is just cool.
That’s about all I wanna say. Very good movie.
