Review of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019) by Avodeskorm — 16 May 2019
Heavily inspired by Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. Yet it lacks the subtle artistic/cinematic visual communication that Bruce's expressions and movements contained.
This gives me two thoughts: The direction is unoriginal, and the action scenes add nothing to the story and cinema itself.
Story should be incorporated into the action scenes. John Wick 3 contains either only action scenes or 'talky' story scenes. The filmmakers are competent, but sadly cannot make a holistic or artistically sophisticated film.
