Review of John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) by Bob P — 15 Jun 2017
Far less impressive that the first movie. I was surprised by the first movie how great it was. I felt that Keanu was much more compelling and sympathetic character in the first film. In Chapter 2 he felt stiff and two dimensional: John Wick the emotionless assassin.
In addition, I felt the action was far less dynamic in the sequel. Many of the action sequences felt redundant and signature moves were recycled over and over again.
Overall, I liked the movie, but was left feeling underwhelmed compared to the first movie.
