Review of John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) by Boredboredbored — 01 Apr 2017
While still very entertaining, it lacks the polish of the previous entry. They spent some time on world-building, but the action sequences (the whole reason to see a John Wick film) falter. Most serious is the fight geography: Wick is often firing his gun at targets off-screen so that the viewer does not even have orientation for the threat.
Movements and techniques are often out of shot and it's overall far more sloppy than the original.
