Review of John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) by Extremeprey — 17 Feb 2017
Very few sequels manage to recapture the essence of what made films like the original John Wick as big as they are. John Wick in every way, cast aside, should have failed but it didn't. The same can be said for Chapter Two. Put anyone else besides from Keanu Reeves into the spotlight with this script and the film should have flopped but my god that man is a legend.
The best way I can describe the amped up on ever level sequel is James Bond meets Jason Bourne. Everyone is so suave and chilled in the amazingly deep Continental hideouts but as soon as guns are a blazing blood is spilled big time. John Wick has aimbot enabled throughout this glorious badass film and it's the most fun I've had with this genre since a Casino Royale.
