Review of John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) by Bikerjames — 21 Feb 2017
They took everything that was great about the 1st installment and made it even better. I am always whining about the fight scenes in movies being so fast edited that you can't tell what's going on (the last Bourne movie for example), but in this film they actually take the time to choreograph all the fights and you can see it all.
Very action-packed, and at times very gory. The audience was screaming and squirming at times. Great locales too, especially the catacombs in Italy. The ending sets up another sequel and I look forward to it.
The only real negative is that the bad guys can't shoot and kill John at close distances even when he is grossly outnumbered, but of course that happens in every shoot-em-up film of this genre. Really well done film.
