Review of John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) by Charlotte M — 04 Apr 2017
A very good action movie. But unlike it's predecessor, I found myself more interested in the deaf female side character than the male lead. The tragedy of the love and life he lost is apparent, it doesn't have to be hammered into the heads of the audience in every scene.
It makes the character feel flat compared to the fast and loose version of John in the first movie. The music also makes it seem more like a scene from Blade than John Wick. But the good news is that the ending leaves this franchise wide open for a third installation.
