Review of John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) by Ryan R — 21 Jul 2017
Although it is definately not as good as the first one I think they did a great job expanding on a story which didn't have many loose ends. The "roll-over, shoot two guys in the head, kill the guy between your leg"s move, John often uses does get repetitive. It is great to see an action movie which doesn't need to change its camera angele every two fucking mili-seconds. It does lack a story but for a shootem-up this is not that big of a problem, the story managed to keep my attentioin all the way through mainly because it keeps on introducing new characters. I am dissapointed that they are removing the element of the continental for the new Jhon wick films, because this was definately my favourite part..
PS. Every critic seems to be whining about the police not involving themselves in the crimes and murders. But at the start of borh movies they show the frightend cop, 'Jimmy' who knows what is going on but doesn't intervene. In the first movie that russian leader also stated that they had massive amounts of blackmail to keep a grip on the city. ( you know the vault John burned in part one?!) so stop whining about that pls.
