Finally, a recent Hollywood movie that doesn't skimp on the violence. Action, gun fights, and pet ownership are the best terms to describe this movie. Keanu Reeves doesn't have a lot of lines, which is probably a good thing, and he does most of his talking through gunfire anyway.
The only negative is that some of the action choreography gets repetitive. Leave the kids at home when seeing this film, its one of the rare Hollywood movies that doesn't pander to broader audiences, i.
