Review of John Wick (2014) by Paul R — 10 Nov 2015
Keanu Reeves is back and boy what a comeback this is. "John Wick" is a great action film, it's like a great homage to the action films of the 80's. It's stylish, brutal and contains some of the best gunfights and fight sequences seen since "The Raid 2". Granted there's not much plot and the acting is not Oscar worthy but it's not trying to be. As with "Fast 7" it clearly knows what it is and who it is catering for.
"John Wick" is without doubt one of the best action films of the last few years and here's hoping for that much talked about sequel.
