Review of John Q (2002) by Seth P — 06 Jan 2011
A very good idea for a film, but very very very repetitive... The movie constantly asks the audience the question "What would you do?" and "Is this the right thing?"... The acting is really good, but over done by a few people (Anne Heche seemed like the only actress out of place, her role was needless and her melodramatic acting in her part really detracted from the movie).
.. The humor that seemed to come out of nowhere was a little weird and made it so the flow of the movie changed from a good pace to a lull. Over all it was an interesting movie, it can be emotional if you have ever been in that kind of situation (not being able to pay for treatment, not taking hostages).
