Review of John Dies at the End (2013) by Kenneth H — 19 Mar 2014
This is one weird acid trip of a movie. It has some creative and witty humor, and at times (especially in the beginning of the movie) there's a bit of self-aware parody. But good luck trying to follow the plot, which feels more like a series of unrelated subplots.
It's like the filmmakers tried to make a coherent story and came up with a loose skeleton of such, but they just gave up on fully fleshing it out so it would actually make sense.
