Review of John Carter (2012) by Alex T — 15 Feb 2013

An admirable failure worth watching. Too much story not enough time. I was captured by the ambition of this cheesy film. There's a lot of charm and signs of so much major backstory (and future story) I'd love to explore.

Unfortunately there's just too much information thrown around that just ruin the pace and loses the coherence of the story. This should have been a miniseries, not an overstuffed movie. Tharks were awesome, the dog was cool, the princess was pretty, John Carter was serviceable, Dominic West was pretty bad, tho.

I'd loved to see a sequel.
