(2012) John Carter.
SCIENCE FICTION.
Somewhat hard to follow this 250 million dollar flop because of flip flopping with different time periods back and forth between earth and mars. On mars, a battle ensures between two different fighting groups, it soon gets interupted by a superior bald-like alien human being similar to what one can find on old Star Trek episodes. This alien-being then wipes out both groups leaving only one person standing and he is the bad guy providing him with a superior ability to wipe people out that's shaped like some sort of cast providing that this person would do his evil bidding for him. Jump to the earth time zone showcasing the creator of John Carter character and Tarzan, a young Edgar Rice Burroughs inheriting John Carters whole estate and reading his last will with instructions. This 'will' has a story about Carter himself, detailing one of his adventures about looking for gold during the civil war and abandoning his Yankee regiment. And while escaping, he stumbles onto a cave full of gold stumbling with a bald headed an alien being who appears to have the ability to transport between mars and earth, except during a struggle, Carter grabs the aliens medallian and the next thing you know he gets transported into mars and first encounters some aliens similar to the CGI Jar Jar binks CGI characters created by Lucas inspired by "The Phantom Menace". Lacks suspense and credibilty and the time viewers do care, it's already too late which the CGI won't save it.
2 out of 4 stars.
