Review of Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten (2007) by Sam F — 03 Oct 2007
This is so much more then a Clash movie. It paints Joe as an every day battler, always trying to take up arms against his opressors. The whole camp fire interview technique where no one is credited is awesomely effective, as it just seems like a bunch of mates, hanging out, sharing anecdotes about Joe and also ensures one person's opinion is no more valid than another.
This movie made me a little sad, cos right now the world needs more people like Joe Strummer, with that integrity, that passion, that heart. Thoroughly recommended. Rock in peace, Joe.
