Review of Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten (2007) by David S — 18 Jul 2008
A solid documentary on one of the most influential and important figures in rock and punk music. Joe Strummer helped change the world and his influence is far reaching. The doc takes us from birth to death and closes the same way it opens.
My only problem with it is the ending seemed a little rushed and showed little care for the end of his career before death. It makes no mention of his work with Johnny Cash or Rick Rubin. Still a must see though for anyone interested in music in general.
If you don't listen to the Clash already, you should.
