Not one of Clint Eastwood's better films. John Saxon is strangely cast as a Mexican, Robert Duvall, as always, is excellent. Eastwood is hired by Duvall to track on the run Mexican Saxon. Ultimately Duvall and his gang cross Eastwood when his services are no longer needed.
Big mistake. I think you can guess what happens after that.
