Review of Joe (2014) by Legio I — 18 Jun 2014
The only thing memorable about this film is Nicolas Cage's remarkable performance. Tye Sheridan is a little one note, but this movie drags on for a really long time and doesn't really break any new ground.
There is a nice look at rural life in the States, but other than the usual "take underprivileged child under your wing" themes, Joe flounders with an unfocused narrative and is all over the place.
