Review of Joe (2014) by Dan B — 21 Feb 2015
Joe is a gripping film that is gritty and dark. Nicholas Cage is great in this and shows he still has great talent as an actor, aside from some of the garbage he's been doing. You really feel for the characters as both Joe and Gary come from dark pasts.
Joe reminded me of Mud in a way and I feel if you enjoyed Mud you'll enjoy this. Joe is an emotional ride packed with violence, sadness, vengeance and a great friendship that builds between two broke people.
