Review of Jodorowsky's Dune (2013) by Ian G — 03 May 2014
An engrossing doc circling around a single minded passion for artistic freedom and the search for something that will be ground breaking in the form of visionary filmmaker Jordorosky who might have taken the place of Ridley Scott or George Lucas had his vision for Dune had been able to see the light of day.
Quite the character, hearing his recruiting process for men like Geiger, Moebius and Mick Jagger is a lot of fun and just looking over all of the storyboards recaptured as animatics got me jazzed. I would have totally loved to see this one recaptured at some point.
A must watch for those people looking for those behind the scenes docs that are game changers and whose source material led to influence countless other films.
