Review of Jodhaa Akbar (2008) by S S — 10 Sep 2008

I liked the costumes, it was very well acted, the battle scenes were good, and the cinematography was amazing but for the 3 or so hours, I kept waiting for something major to happen, and nothing did. There was a small conflict buildup with the mother and the wife but that ...just ended and then was never touched upon later =/.

As far as history goes, it didn't even try to be accurate as admitted by the director. I expected more dance/song scenes (it is a hindi movie afterall) but it had very few and they were mediocre at best. It was too long for too little. Oh ya, and it had the worst subtitles I have ever laid my precious eyes upon. 6/10.
