Joan was capable of so much more than this. If you're not familiar with her brand of comedy, I wouldn't recommend starting here. She was capable of blending wit with intelligence in and incredibly sharp manner, but she seemed to play it very safe in this special, mostly going for the easy offensive jokes rather than some of her darker more transgressive material.
