Review of Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work (2010) by Ryan B — 12 Jun 2010
Great doc. Delves into the heart of who Rivers is, both as a legendary comedienne and wounded soul. At 75, she is as lively and energetic as ever and proof that even with age a person with drive and ambition can sustain stamina.
I wish the film went deeper into more personal areas such as her obsession with plastic surgery and where this need to entertain comes from. But overall, a very revealing look at a real talent behind the caricature.
