Review of Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work (2010) by John Joseph M — 25 Dec 2010
You come to learn that Joan cannot live without the acceptance of others, which is kinda sad since I think the industry has milked her for all of her worth at this point, but she still tries to re-invent herself to remain relevant, to mixed results. But fuck that, here's 5 Red Carpet moments that she will forever be remembered for.
1. Interviewing the star of the hit TV show Scrubs, Jack Fraff, on the red carpet during the Grammies. Zach then says he's Jack Black and goes loljk I'm Zach Braff from Garden State. Joan then says she knows.
2. Slapping MC Hammer in the face by calling him MJ Hammer on live television.
3. "So who are you....um....Evan-vescence!?".
4. When Rachel Weisz's agent steered her away from her, she went on a disgusting rant that took them to break. I hope that agent got some sort of raise.
5. My favorite is when Dule Hill from The West Wing was going to be interviewed. First she said that Juliet Mills was coming down, and then she starts talking to his wife.
Joan Rivers, this is your legacy.
