Review of Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work (2010) by Jason R — 23 Apr 2011

I'm not a Joan Rivers fan but this is a very interesting documentary that follows her for a year as she turns 75. The movie did give me more respect for her and does give a bit more insight to her relationship with her daughter who is usually just seen as a shadow of Joan (without the comedy).

There are a lot of telling moments in this movie that the real Joan Rivers comes through and it is interesting to try to find them. It isn't always flattering and does show her at some very weak moments.
