Review of Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011) by Darien S — 28 Jul 2012
Beautiful images of sushi take on a serene dream-like quality that never cease to dazzle even after we become familiar with the making of the sushi. The visuals are equaled only by the humanity present in the people making the cuisine.
Humor and depth are featured in plenty. For some audience members, however, the film's quality will not be able to entirely make up for their disinterest in how sushi is made.
