Review of Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011) by Marcial B — 21 Sep 2012
Probably one of the best food documentaries I have ever seen. An inspiring story about chef Jiro and his sushi restaurant. His restaurant has received three Michelin stars, which explains why his restaurant only has eight seats and starts off at $300 a person.
Chef Jiro is 85 years old and has prepared sushi since he was 17. The man still has the passion inside of him burning to work hard and prepare, what might be, the best sushi in the world. This is a must watch if you're a foodie, work in a kitchen, or love sushi.
Thankfully I fall under all three. (it's an instant movie on NETFLIX).
