Review of Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011) by Wave C — 27 Sep 2012
Massively hyped film following the set standardised way that popular high culture creates itself by geeking out on details. These details then somehow become art in the minds of men.
The wider context of why we take fish from our massively depleted oceans is of course never touched on because man made culture is somehow more important than nature.
Tedious, geeky and claustrophobic.
