Review of Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011) by Danielle K — 09 May 2013
Beautiful, beautiful film. Jiro Ono is a wonderful man, filled to the brim with talent (so much talent that his restaurant has earned a 3 star Michelin review) yet still pushing himself at 85 years old.
He is never condescending, and he is very funny and witty! Just a lovely man, and his sons are lovely too. This documentary is not only about sushi, but about the stories that Jiro and those who surround him have to tell.
Lovely.
