Review of Jiro Dreams of Sushi (2011) by Gerardo A — 20 Jul 2013
Never in my life have I seen filmmaking at this level. Gelb is an artist in the way that he portrays Jiro's quest for perfection with his own pristine, elegant and awe-inspiring documentary skills.
Watching this film felt like traveling through perfection in almost every single frame. It shows the highest quality on cinematography, editing and storytelling; flows perfectly and feels just as filmmaking should feel.
Jiro is the master behind the sushi bar just as Gelb is the master behind the camera. Exquisite, scrumptious, delightful.
