Review of Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (1999) by Alan T — 18 Sep 2007
For a while, this was my favorite film of all time. It is Japanese animation, but no where near the popular (and trashy) kind we are accustomed to; this is high-quality stuff. Cel-drawn (the last film of that kind).
The use of German weaponry, equipment, vehicles and language add a depth to the film that historians such as myself will delight in. Although the ending is sad, it poses an interesting question: is Humanity really worth anyting?
