I could do a top 10 faves on Anime alone, but this movie is in the top 3 on my list. Deep characters, obscure motives and many mental twists and turns. No fantastical technology, just real human feelings and drives.
See this before seeing "Ghost in the shell" and then see "Perfect Blue".
