I love the Saw franchise and I absolutely understand that it is a guilty pleasure of mine. The traps and almost poetic lines given by John Kramer are great. While the movie delivers both traps and once again Tobin Bell, it feels like things are missing.
The traps are dialed back in complexity and the cat and mouse chase between authorities and killer are not as exciting as it should be. On a positive note, the twists are exciting as always and the finale really got me good! Over all, while not the 2004 classic, if you enjoy the series you can definitely have a good time watching the movie.
