Review of JFK (1991) by Buggy B — 10 Jan 2014

I don't care what the history books say, this is riveting, impeccably crafted, masterful cinema in it's purest form. Note perfect acting from a powerful cast, including Kevin Costner, Kevin Bacon, Tommy Lee Jones, Joe Pesci, Jack Lemmon and Gary Oldman amongst many other brilliant character actors bring the people to life with incredible accuracy.

Oliver Stone's script is intricate, layered and never wastes a second of it's run time or it's humanity at the centre, as well as his direction, which is vibrant, luscious, impeccable, meticulous and electric.

Combine that with brilliant cinematography (and motifs in the shots), pitch perfect pace and editing and an unforgettable and central message. JFK is a masterpiece of cinema.
