Review of JFK (1991) by Arron G — 05 Oct 2008
If one recall's the Iliad, or the Odyssey, or the Koran, or the Bible, or a Cormac McCarthy novel or a Chuck Palahniuk novel, or the nightly news, or pretty much any story about any human endeavor over any period of time, then it should come as no surprise that humans fly airplanes into buildings, or cheat on their wives, or kill presidents or start wars or steal or kill or fuck up the economy. Why anyone should be surprised at anything like this should be the real surprise.
So, it's with a great big yawn that I greeted Ollie Stone's "JFK". So it was perhaps a coup d'etat? Big Deal.
What would be a big deal would be if the species were able to wake up and embrace an honest accounting of itself.
