Review of JFK (1991) by Darrell H — 18 Oct 2008
Oliver Stone at his insidious best (worst?). No one working in films is more biased except Michael Moore, but Stone is an excellent writer and director, making his films the more dangerous. Where Moore is bluster and sass, Stone, is serious and subversive.
So this film then is gravely conspiratorial and ominously paranoid. Everyone turns in a strong performance, as expected, but the conspiracy angle is rather ludicrous.
