Review of JFK (1991) by Ashley C — 05 Feb 2009
I remember studying this case in History class and being fascinated, and it's taken ten odd years to get round to seeing this film, and what a film it is. The three plus hours don't fly by but it never slows down or gets boring, neither does it get too complicated or confusing.
Oliver Stone lays everything out perfectly and sets his case. Kevin Costner is very good in the lead role (watch as his voice begins to break during the epic final prosecution speech) helped by an outstanding supporting cast, especially Gary Oldman - almost unrecognisable as Oswald.
A brilliant film that doesn't seek to answer any questions, only to raise them.
