It may be controversial and may be a total conspiracy piece, but all in all the film is well done and proves why Oliver Stone is a great director. Kevin Costner portrays New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison, who led a case on the possible conspiracy behind John F.

Kennedy's assassination. The film is tied together with beautiful cinematography by Robert Richardson, Stone's direction, a smart script and the great performances. Gary Oldman portrays Lee Harvey Oswald, the possible sniper, Tommy Lee Jones portrays Clay Shaw, Joe Pesci portrays David Ferrie and Donald Sutherland portrays Mr.

X, who gives Garrison important information. The film raises a lot questions, but is well done and even though it may be controversial, it is still a masterpiece and good to watch.
