The quest for truth and in Oliver Stone's case, the ultimate answer to one of history's most imfamous questions; who killed JFK? This three-plus hour set up has us still guessing at the end, but not in a way that annoys us.
It really made me mad about the event itself. So many questions. So many answers. And ultimately, so many 'possible' answers. As Joe Pesci's Dave Ferry exclaims, "Who killed the president? Who shot JFK? The shooters don't even know!! It's a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma!!" It's Stone at his most passionate and one the the best edited movies I've ever seen.
