Review of JFK (1991) by Tanner B — 11 Feb 2016
4/4.
Overwhelmingly exciting movie, masterly shot, directed, and edited, about Jim Garrison, a District Attorney who comes to the stunning truth about the infamous Kennedy assassination: there's a lot more to his death than the stories say. Cast is so uncommonly superb it's like they're not really acting at all-that they're real people going about their life. Unbelievably well crafted in every way, so much so that the film has a look and feel unlike any other Hollywood feature. It's so tremendously gripping (and so utterly fascinating) it's running time flows past like running water. Director Oliver Stone's most exhilarating and astounding film. One of the best movies of the 1990s. Director's Cut runs 206 min.
