Review of Jezebel (1938) by Elena . — 05 Dec 2007
Jezebel is a magnificent picture featuring Bette Davis in one of her most memorable roles. One cannot help comparing this film to Gone with the Wind. While Jezebel lacks the epic scale of Gone with the Wind it stands on its own as a classic picture about the dying Old South.
William Wylerâ??s direction is impeccable and every scene and every shot in this film is masterfully planned.
