Review of Jesus' Son (2000) by John D — 02 Oct 2007
It's movies like these that make me lose faith in the film seeing public. If there hasn't been a funnier, more honest yet unfairly unseen movie then I'll give everyone on my flixster $12 to go out and rent that film.
Billy Crudup who is just as under rated as this film is perfect as the lead charecter known as f*ckhead a man trying to get clean and do the right thing but f*cks up. As well as a scene stealing turn from Denis Leary and another solid turn from Samanatha Morton.
Note this isn't for those who love wild hogs but for those who just love terrific charecters. The topics have been done before and better (Trainspotting and Requiem for a Dream) But if you can read the book or see the film without rooting for f*ckhead then you're most liking a bigger one then he is.
