Review of Jesus of Montreal (1989) by E. J. Lundberg — 08 Jul 2008
The message seems to be that Jesus was an inspirational character but don't believe everything you read. Though the soundtrack and random cuts of cityscapes heavily date the film, there is some provocative gospel analogy and character development that stops just short of greatness.
The attitude is such that it intellectualizes the gospel to the detriment of faith. It's a good conversation starter worth a viewing.
